===== Biography =====

S5E7 - (flashforward) After a fruitless day in 1973 trying to film a commercial for Rose’s failing matchmaking business, Midge’s accountant Brian once again tells her that it’s a massive financial drain on her and she should just shutter it. Susie agrees with him, but Midge explains that the business is the only way to keep her mother happy in the brief time she has left.

===== Quotes & Dialogue =====

> BRIAN: Midge, this commercial has already cost triple what we had budgeted. \\ MIDGE: What can I tell you? \\ BRIAN: Okay, I'd like to have a “come to Jesus” talk about this, if I could. \\ MIDGE: You wanna have a “come to Jesus” talk with a Jew? \\ – S5E7

> BRIAN: This business of hers has officially become a huge financial drain on you. \\ SUSIE: How huge? \\ BRIAN: King Kong to Fay Wray. \\ MIDGE: Well, at least I get to be an ingénue again. \\ BRIAN: The Madison Ave location was bad enough, but the fact that she refused to rent and you had to buy the building? Why didn't you call me? \\ MIDGE: I was playing Tahoe. The phones were sticky. \\ BRIAN: The business is not making money. We should really think about closing the place. We can negotiate severance for the employees, and we can try to sell the building. We'll take a loss, but we should get it off your books. You can just pay your mom a salary, straight from you to her. It'll be more than she's making now. It… Susie, back me up here. \\ – S5E7
