CAROLE: She's got a date.
DANNY: Oh. A date? With a boy?
CAROLE: Yes, dear, a date. Potatoes?
DANNY: Don't try to distract me with potatoes.
CAROLE: But you love potatoes.
DANNY: I don't want to talk about potatoes.
CAROLE: Okay. Carrots?

CAROLE: Aw, you brought Nancy flowers. Let's see. When was the last time I got flowers? Oh, it was when the doorman brought up a bouquet by mistake. He had the wrong apartment.

DANNY: I really want to say “yes.” No.
CAROLE: That's the man I married. Have fun, you two.

7. A House Full of Extremely Lame Horses

• Sutton Foster also appeared in the Palladinos’ previous series, Gilmore Girls and Bunheads, as Violet and Michelle Simms respectively. Prior to her appearance on the show, she recorded several songs for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, including the version of “I Enjoy Being a Girl” used in episodes 5 and 6 of season 1, and the version of “Perfectly Marvelous” used in the season 3 trailer.
