In charge of clearing licenses to serve alcohol.

S3E6 - Brian calls Joel to let him know that his liquor license has finally gone through, now that they know “who he is”.

BRIAN: Joel Maisel? Brian Miller. I'm calling in reference to your application for a liquor license.
JOEL: What's the problem now? You need my blood type?
BRIAN: No.
JOEL: My firstborn?
BRIAN: No.
JOEL: Ethan, pack your bags. You got a new daddy.
BRIAN: No. Mr. Maisel, I'm just calling to apologize for the mix-up. Your application landed in the wrong bin at the Chinatown office. We just didn't realize who you were.
JOEL: Oh. Who am I?
BRIAN: Just know it's all been sorted out. And your license has been fast-tracked. You should have it by the end of the week.
JOEL: Okay.
BRIAN: If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to call.
