Biography

S4E3 - Midge has a rocky start at the Wolford. Jillian's performance of Philomena the angel initially goes well… but as she exits, the wire contraption used to lower her comes loose and slams Trixie in the head, causing the Roaring Twenties act to be delayed. Not having been made aware of the schedule change, she has an awkward moment where she introduces the wrong act and has to run back to introduce Sapphira the Harem Girl. This draws particular ire from Charlie the band leader, who had started to play the wrong tune.

S4E4 - Midge continues to wage an uphill battle trying to improve the working conditions at the Wolford. When goes out on stage to conclude the show, the band does not stop playing to let her talk, her spotlight takes forever to turn on, and when it finally does, her mic cuts out. She exchanges a few terse words with Charlie and tells him to stop playing whenever she goes up there, then goes over to Boise to air her complaints.

S4E4 - At the Wolford, Midge finally starts to make some headway. When she goes on stage, she has to stamp her foot to get Charlie to stop playing so she can do her set.

S4E4 - At the Wolford, things are finally going well. At the end of the final act, the curtain descends, the band stops, Midge's spotlight comes on, her mic works, and she is able to deliver her closing remarks cleanly. As she leaves the stage, Midge exclaims that they finally got it perfect… only to fall into the orchestra pit, breaking her arm. The dancers react with mild interest and concern, but nobody else appears to care.

S4E5 - Charlie performs with the rest of the band the night Rose secretly comes to see Midge perform at the Wolford.
