S2E2 - While walking the floor, Joel finds Manny smoking in a stairwell and tells him to stop. Joel is cleaning house, and one of the people he wants to fire is Manny, he tells Moishe.

S2E2 - Moishe negotiates Manny back his job, explaining that Manny’s wife Gloria is an essential employee.

S2E7 - Manny attends the celebrations when Joel finally finishes buying the building. Right beforehand, Joel scolds him for taking another smoke break.

S3E7 - Don swings by the Maisel and Roth factory to pick up some baseball tickets from Joel. While he’s there, he learns how Archie has been living there with Joel for the past two months, and repeatedly comments on how weird it is. As Archie leaves to visit Imogene and the kids, he bangs his head on a pipe as Manny and the rest of the factory looks on.

S3E8 - Midge greets Manny as she visits the factory to make a business proposition to Moishe.

S4E1 - Manny helps Joel to pack his stuff up as he moves out of the factory apartment.

S5E3 - At the Button Club, Archie and Joel look on in horror as Shirley occupies one table with Bubbie and another friend, and Moishe occupies another table with Manny and another friend. Midge comes up behind them and asks for some stage time when the band breaks. Just then, the band leader quits, fed up with Moishe and Shirley's interference. Midge goes up and tries to do her act, but Moishe and Shirley obnoxiously interfere, despite Midge and Joel's attempts to shut them up. Ultimately, Midge gives up as Moishe gets up to tell a joke himself, and Joel brings a drink up to her on stage.

S5E9 - Moishe mentions that Manny is in Florida visiting his sister.

JOEL: Manny, not sure you should be smoking there.
MANNY: I'm by a trash can.
JOEL: Lots of chemicals and solvents all over the place. You remember the Triangle Shirtwaist f*re?
MANNY: Like it was yesterday.
JOEL: Get back to work, Manny. (to Moishe) That's the fourth cigarette break he's taken this morning.
MOISHE: So what? You're so hot for people taking breaks.
JOEL: People who work. I've never seen him work.
MOISHE: What does Manny do? What does he do? Manny does. That's what Manny does. Manny does.

JOEL: I'm gonna start by firing the low-hanging fruit like Manny.
MOISHE: Manny's not a fruit. He came to your bar mitzvah.
JOE: He's gone. I'm firing him today. Along with Pete, who's in the storage room playing cards with two other guys that I don't know. They're fired, too. Every single freeloader around here, gone. I'm getting them off the payroll.

MOISHE: Okay. I do that for you and in return you hire Manny back.
JOEL: What? No.
MOISHE: If Manny goes, his wife Gloria goes. Gloria is my best seamstress. Without her, I'm sunk.
JOEL: And Pete…? The schmuck playing cards in the storeroom?
MOISHE: His wife Bernice does all my best embroidery. He went, she went. I need her back, too.
JOEL: Okay, Manny and Pete can come back to work, but they have to fucking work.

MANNY: He walked headfirst into the pipe. It was sitting there plain as day where it always is, and he walked right into it.

MIDGE: Manny. You on a break again?
MANNY: How do you define “break”?
