Host and booker at the 15th Street Comedy Club.
S2E2 - Thanks to the media attention garnered by Lenny’s opening for Midge at the Gaslight, Bobby agrees to book her at his club. Midge is initially set to go on third, but is repeatedly bumped down the list by Bobby and a cabal of hostile standups who conspire to haze her, including Stan and Eugene, until she is the very last to go on. Despite being drunk, dirty and disheveled, Midge pulls off a successful set, and roasts her oppressors in the process. Bobby is very unhappy that Midge decided to attack his biggest earners, but he does not rule out the possibility of booking her again in the future.
S2E10 - Bobby introduces Midge, but yanks her off stage mid-way through her set because she said the word “pregnant.”
S4E2 - Midge and Susie head down to the 15th Street Comedy Club, but Bobby informs them that all the slots are long taken and refuses to bump anyone. The two sit at the bar and loudly critique the acts while getting progressively drunker. David hosts, first introducing Noah Birnbaum. After Midge and Susie disrupt Noah Birnbaum’s act, Bobby tells Stewie to throw them out if they speak again. Stewie fails, however, to prevent their continued shenanigans. Later, Frankie Borden leaves the stage and David prepares to introduce Billy Jones. Susie plays a prank, locking Billy out of the club, leaving David to flounder on stage until Midge barges up and does Billy’s act. Outraged, Bobby tosses Midge and Susie out of the club and bans them for life.
S5E1 - At the Stage Deli, Susie tells Midge that she has been groveling to Bobby, and that he has finally relented and agreed to book Midge in the 15th Street Club again - she has a gig there next Thursday.
BOBBY: Hey, everybody, I'm Bobby Stelter, your humble host for the evening. Are you guys in the mood for a fantastic show? All right, then what you want to do is walk outside and catch a cab to the Copa, 'cause it ain't happening here.
– S2E2
BOBBY: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome an adorable lady who, if she can't make you laugh, can at least make you dinner. Mrs. My-zell.
– S2E2
BOBBY: What the hell was that? Those are two of my best comics you shit all over tonight.
MIDGE: Well, they started it.
BOBBY: How am I supposed to get them back here after I let some snot-nosed chick-comic take them down in front of a room full of people?
SUSIE: It wasn't really full. A lot of them had left already.
BOBBY: Doesn't matter! You don't come into my club and talk like that to my best earners. People come in to see those guys. Nobody comes in to see you 'cause nobody knows who the fuck you are! Now here, take your money and get out of here before I decide never to book you in this place again.
– S2E2
BOBBY: Now, you're not gonna go after any of my guys tonight, right? You're gonna be a good girl?
BOBBY: Are you crazy? You can't say that onstage.
MIDGE: Say what, “change purse”?
SUSIE: What the fuck, Bobby?
BOBBY: “Pregnant.”
MIDGE: I can't say “pregnant”? Are you kidding?
BOBBY: Nobody wants to hear that word.
MIDGE: Well, I know they don't want to hear it in the context of “Guess what, I'm pregnant. Who gets to tell your wife?”
BOBBY: Any context. It's foul.
SUSIE: It's foul? The guy before her talked about getting dick fungus.
BOBBY: That was funny. This is female stuff. It's private.
MIDGE: It's real. It's life. Literally.
SUSIE: She can talk about whatever she wants to. It's her act.
BOBBY: Nope. Here she tells jokes. You want to talk about your female parts, you go see the obstrenician- ob- whatever the fuck. Not on my stage!
– S2E10
SUSIE: Bobby, you know she kills.
BOBBY: Even with an ass full of Shy Baldwin shrapnel?
SUSIE: Hey, fuck you.
BOBBY: Oh, okay, now I'll give her a slot.
SUSIE: Really?
BOBBY: No. But tell you what, I'll be a sport. You can still come in if you want. I'll even waive the cover. Just drink.
– S4E2
BOBBY: Banned for life. The both of you.
SUSIE: Let go.
BOBBY: You were funny once, you know that? What happened?
MIDGE: What's the matter, Bob? You like these crap jokes when Billy does them.
BOBBY: This is a business of entertainment. You get that? Our customers don't come here to watch you make fun of it. They come to have a good time.
