S2E8 - Ricky refuses to pay Midge and Susie because they are late. When Susie tries to get the money, Ricky locks her in a closet. Midge calls Joel for help, and he comes by and squeezes the money out of Ricky.

RICKY: Hey, what were those weird animal noises on the tape recorder?
SUSIE: Can we just settle up? It's been a rough fucking week.
RICKY: Yeah, we all had a rough week. Thanks for auditioning; I'll pay ya next time.

RICKY: What's this?
JOEL: You locked her manager in a closet?
RICKY: What? No. It was a joke. Lighten up. We're in the comedy business, man.
JOEL: Let her out.
RICKY: Sheesh. No sense of humor.

RICKY: She was late.
SUSIE: Ten minutes.
JOEL: Doesn't matter. Pay her what you owe her.
RICKY: So you're her manager.
SUSIE: I'm her manager, Ricky. You know that.
RICKY: So who are you?
JOEL: What's it matter?
RICKY: I like to know who I'm talking to.
JOEL: I'm her husband.
RICKY: Her husband? Well, why the fuck don't you keep her…

• Johnny Hopkins, the actor who plays Ricky, is Irish. According to Michael Zegen in episode 18 of My Mrs. Maisel Pod, Hopkins maintained an American accent for the duration of the shoot because he was scared they would fire him if they learned that he was Irish. Zegen was completely fooled, and was shocked when Hopkins later revealed his true accent.
