Executive Recruiter at Bell Labs.

S1E6 - Comes to see Abe at Columbia University to offer him a job working at Bell Labs on project Echo.

S1E6 - Charles brings some paperwork for Abe to sign by his office, to finalize the job at Bell Labs. He mentions Midge’s arrests, which is the first Abe has heard of them.

S2E6 - When Abe brings Noah in for a tour and tries to get Charles to hire him, Charles is forced to divulge to Abe that Noah actually has a higher security clearance than him, and has been working on secret projects for the government.

S2E10 - After learning from Noah that his project has been covertly canceled over Midge’s set in DC, Abe goes in and tries to defend her, but winds up quitting out of rage.

CHARLES: We're calling it Project Echo, Abe. A quantum leap in satellite technology. The commercial ramifications of this could be huge. Not to mention its defense capabilities.
IRVING: It would revolutionize the communications industry.
CHARLES: And Bell Labs is leading the pack. Abe, we're gathering the best and the brightest to help us get there first.
– S1E6

CHARLES: We'll work around your schedule. An applied mathematician of your skills is in high demand these days. We need you.
– S1E6

CHARLES: Now, there's just the final government clearance. It's somewhat more intensive, but it should go smoothly, too. The only possible bump I see would be your daughter's arrests.
ABE: Her arrests?
CHARLES: We know, a couple of misdemeanors, she pled guilty. It shouldn't be too big a problem.
– S1E6

CHARLES: I'm going to be frank with you, Abe. Your clearance level is extremely low. It allows you to see some non-consequential documents, but its level is not much above, say, the janitorial staff.
MARTIN: Theirs may be higher, what with the disposal of documents, the shredding. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the janitors have a higher security clearance than you.
– S2E6

CHARLES: You signed away your intellectual property when you signed your contract. We own your expertise.
– S2E10

• In season 1, David Aaron Baker is credited as Charles Connelly. In season 2, he is credited as Charles Emery. Despite this, the two very much appear to be the same character. No explanation is ever given, so it may just be an error.
